I saw Donnie and Marie’s Christmas Spectacular in L.A. at the Pantages. THE SHOW WAS INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t stop smiling! If anyone has a medley on lock, it’s those two. First, they’ve never sounded better. Donny danced his fucking ass off. Marie was SO GOOD and SO BEAUTIFUL. She has great improv skills! The brought someone up from the audience and it was soooo funny. You could tell what was scripted and what wasn’t but boy, was that show great. I never stopped smiling! The show was a great balance of retrospective of their careers/holiday songs/taking risks on stage. For example, Marie has always wanted to sing opera. So she did an opera song and it was from M Butterfly, great choice. It was beautiful! All I can say if after seeing that show, I wish I had been born into that family. Why wasn’t I born into that family? Cathy Rigby is STILL PERFORMING AS PETER PAN! She’ll be at the Pantages in March.
